Flash is an awesome program. I use it for my simple drawing and animation. If you use it in combination with a Graphics Tablet (check out Wacom Tablets), it’s so fun and useful. Simple animations can be made using the easy-to-use motion and shape tweens, where it will help animate an object without trouble. Additionally, as you progress, Flash is the a very powerful, common tool used by professionals as well, and once you learn more intense tools like ActionScript, you can do some really amazing animations.

Search some animations up at www.newgrounds.com. Also, many games on neopets.com, addictinggames.com and newgrounds.com as well are flash-based.
