These hackers sure are tricky, using the Windows name to spread their malicious software. But you won’t sit back and let your computer become infected, right? Windows Antivirus Pro is not endorsed by Microsoft, obviously. It will make your life miserable with popups and warnings and threats, hoping that you submit your credit card information. Don’t do it! How Will I Know That I Have It?
Windows Antivirus Pro will prompt you endlessly with popup warnings such as “Internet attack attempt detected: Somebody is trying to attack your PC: This can result in loss of your personal information and infection other computers connected to your network.” You might also receive this variation: “”svchost.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. If you are in the middle of something, the information you were working on might be lost.”
Other than the annoying and scary popups, you should also notice your computer is performing more slowly, and you’ll have strange warnings at the bottom of your screen, on your taskbar.
What Will Windows Antivirus Pro Do To My Computer?
If you leave this virus to its own methods, you are at risk of further viral infections, security infections, and keyloggers that will actually record everything you type, seeking out bank numbers to send to identity thieves. It’s not a joke. Identity theft is the biggest problem on the internet worldwide right now. This virus can also corrupt all of your most closely guarded files, such as your music files, family photos, programs, everything.
How Can I Remove This Virus?
You can try to remove it manually, but I don’t recommend it, unless you are an IT professional or a big techie such as I am. Manual deletion involves deleting all associated registry values, DLL files, physical files, directories, stopping windows antivirus pro.exe processes, and blocking all associated websites. It’s a lot of work that if you make one small error can leave your system vulnerable to more attacks, or can render your system unbootable!
Automatic Removal. It’s the Way to Go.
For these reasons I recommend (and use myself) Automatic Virus Removal tools. It makes the process much quicker and easier. I could spend hours with a manual removal or 10 minutes with an automatic removal. It saves me time, money, and stress.
